Rejuran is an injectable gel containing highly purified polynucleotides (PN), DNA fragments derived from wild salmon. A trained healthcare professional places it into the dermis. Treatment suitability and the choice of product require an individual assessment.

Treatment may be considered for patients with dull or uneven skin tone, fine lines, changes in skin texture, skin laxity or thinning, and certain skin-quality concerns following acne scarring or surgery. Sensitive or reactive skin also requires assessment. Your practitioner will determine whether treatment is appropriate for you.

Possible temporary side effects include redness, injection marks, itching, dryness and flaking, which generally settle over several days. These are not an exhaustive list of risks. Your practitioner will discuss risks and what to do if you develop a reaction before treatment.

Avoid heat such as saunas or steam rooms and strenuous exercise immediately after treatment. Do not massage or manipulate the area for 24–48 hours. Use a high-SPF, broad-spectrum sunscreen and follow the individual aftercare instructions provided by your practitioner.

A typical initial course may involve three sessions, 2–4 weeks apart. Maintenance may be considered every 6–12 months. Your recommended schedule will depend on your assessment and response; outcomes vary.
